Central Sulawesi Chamber of Commerce Leadership for 2026–2031 Officially Inaugurated

PALU, PIKIRKAN.COM — The new leadership of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) of Central Sulawesi for the 2026–2031 term was officially inaugurated in Palu on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

The inauguration was led by KADIN Indonesia Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie at the Pogombo Field, Central Sulawesi Governor’s Office. The event was attended by Central Sulawesi Deputy Governor Reny Lamadjido, members of the regional leadership forum, KADIN Indonesia officials, and the newly inaugurated KADIN Central Sulawesi board.

Gufran Ahmad has been appointed Chairman of KADIN Central Sulawesi for the 2026–2031 period. Under his leadership, KADIN is expected to strengthen cooperation between the business community, small and medium-sized enterprises, and the regional government to expand economic opportunities and business networks across the province.

In his address, Gufran emphasized that local entrepreneurs should not merely become spectators in a region rich in natural resources. Instead, they should play a central role in economic growth, industrial supply chains, SME development, workforce capacity building, and market expansion.

“We want local entrepreneurs to become industrial partners, SMEs to gain greater market opportunities, and local workers to receive opportunities and improved competencies,” Gufran said.

He also stressed that strengthening local businesses does not mean closing the door to investors from outside the region or abroad. According to him, investment remains important for bringing capital, technology, experience, market networks, and broader business cooperation.

The new KADIN Central Sulawesi structure consists of 19 Vice Chairmen and 55 working committees covering five major areas of focus for the next five years.

Meanwhile, KADIN Indonesia Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie expressed optimism about Central Sulawesi’s economic prospects. He highlighted the province’s abundant natural resources, growing industrial zones, and government support for investment.

Anindya said Central Sulawesi has significant potential to become one of Indonesia’s economic growth centers by maximizing downstream industries in agriculture, plantations, fisheries, and other leading commodities.

The inauguration carried the theme “Collaboration, Investment, Achievement”, reflecting KADIN Central Sulawesi’s commitment to bringing together business ideas, investment opportunities, and cooperation among stakeholders.

Gufran said he aims to develop KADIN Central Sulawesi into an open, collaborative, competitive, and achievement-oriented home for the region’s business community.
